Peace Project In Kenya Seeking Partners

Home   Peace Project In Kenya Seeking Partners

An *immediate* project that requires funding and partners takes place in five regions of Kenya.  It is an ambitious “on the ground” and relevant Peace Project – with a solid plan for sustainability.

The total being sought is: USD $288,271
Potential Reach: Over 1 million in person and 3 million on TV

Problem:
• People in Kenya are seeing a spike of raids in Laikipia.
• The elections will be here in September.
• Post election unrest is on the lips of Kenyans in many regions.

Solution:
Theatre has proven again and again around the world to be a strong catalyst for facilitated discussions that bear fruit.

The Rotary Club of Nairobi-Lavington has a dedicated and wise committee that has created a proposal for a Global Grant to use theatre and film to address flashpoint issues in hundreds of communities around Kenya.

NOTE:
However, it is not a must that this is handled through TRF, this could be funded by concerned Rotarians such as yourself, your district or even your club. Matching funds are being sought in Kenya.
